170 • SHOPPING CENTER BUSINESS • MAY 2015 with an average household income in ex- cess of $97,000. Bridgeport Landing Development par- ent company RCI is no stranger to large- scale waterfront transformations. The company has completed developments from Boston to Key West — all destina- tion properties that utilize the waterfront as an integral and often defining feature of the project. Most notably is the Miami Beach Marina, a brownfield revitaliza- tion that transformed a bus depot and a waste transfer station into one of the na- tion's most iconic waterfront mixed-use environments. As Christoph puts it: "When you com- bine Steelpointe Harbor's mix of uses, and our blend of destination and outlet retail with the unique waterfront backdrop — along with the experiences and activi- ties that come along with it — you have something very special. We are certain that there is nothing quite like it in all of Connecticut." SCB Steelpointe Harbor will be anchored by Bass Pro Shops, as well as retail, dining and entertainment uses, and a 12-screen luxury theater. Two hotels, 1,100 to 1,500 mid-and-high rise residential units, and 30,000 square feet of office will also be part of the project.
