Acquisitions include Crosscreek Village, a 66,660-square-foot Publix-anchored shopping center located in the Orlando suburb of St. Cloud, Florida; Shaw's Plaza, a 175,842-square-foot Shaw's-anchored shopping center located in the Boston sub- urb of Raynham, Massachusetts; Mont- ville Commons, a 117,916-square-foot Stop & Shop-anchored shopping center located in Montville, Connecticut; McK- inney Market Street, an 88,389-square- foot Market Street-anchored shopping center located in McKinney, Texas; Sun- tree Square, a 99,269-square-foot Tom Thumb-anchored shopping center locat- ed in Southlake, Texas; and Green Val- ley Plaza, an 89,332-square-foot Trader Joe's-anchored shopping center located in Henderson, Nevada. CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD ARRANGES $53.2 MILLION SALE OF RETAIL PROPERTY IN CHICAGO Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the $53.2 million sale of a 33,597-square-foot retail property in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood. The Ohio State Teach- ers Retirement System acquired the fully leased property, which is located at 1100 N. State St. Urban Outfitters occupies 19,007 square feet at the four-story build- ing. The remaining space is occupied by Maple & Ash. Cushman & Wakefield rep- resented the seller, Eleven Hundred LLC, in the transaction. Michael Marks and Tr- isha Connolly of Cushman & Wakefield also provided financial advisory services. FRENCH BILLIONAIRE BUYS MANHATTAN OFFICE, RETAIL BUILDING FROM THOR EQUITIES FOR $525 MILLION French billionaire Marc Ladreit de Lacha- rrière has purchased a 100,000-square- foot office and retail building in Man- hattan for $525 million. The building is located at 693 Fifth Ave. in Midtown's Plaza District. The 20-story property's re- tail component houses the flagship store of international luxury brand Valentino. It includes four full levels of retail space with 50 feet of Fifth Avenue frontage. Notable office tenants include Carpenters Work- shop Gallery, Louis Licari and Phillips Auctioneers. Thor Equities acquired the building in 2010 from Japanese depart- ment store Takashimaya for $142 mil- lion. Thor then restructured the interior to create a multi-level retail space, which Valentino occupied in 2013. Tenants at Crosscreek Village, acquired by Phillips Edison, include Publix, Subway and Anytime Fitness. Bowie is one of the largest cities in Maryland.
