Fontana: e Right City at the Right Time e City of Fontana is one of the most populous cities in San Bernardino County with an approximate residential population of 212,000 and growing. Fontana is considered one of Southern California's most important regional hubs for the trucking and logistics industry. In fact, ask anyone in the trucking industry about Fontana, and they've likely been to one our state of the art warehouses. e City of Fontana is experiencing a period of rapid economic growth and prosperity due to its geographic location, balanced land uses and access to major freeways. e City is supported by a vast network of freeways comprised of Interstate 10, 15 and 210 and a strategic network of rail lines and intermodal facilities, making it an ideal location for the logistics industry. In addition, Fontana is only 10 miles away from the Ontario International Airport and 60 miles from the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, two of the largest and busiest ports in the entire United States. The City of Fontana is already home to many major distribution centers, including Target Warehouse & Distribution; LG electronics; Mercedes-Benz; Southern California Edison; Home Shopping Network, Avery Dennison and Walmart. In addition to warehouses, the automotive sector is rapidly growing. The Fontana Auto Center, located along the south side of Interstate 210 welcomed its newest addition "Valley Kia" in 2016. The dealership joined Rotolo Chevrolet, Fontana Nissan and Rock Honda. The auto center will accommodate as many as 12 dealerships when it's completely built out to capacity, bringing together some of the finest automotive facilities in the Inland Empire. e City of Fontana is a city in development with an abundance of land available to support future logistics and distribution facilities.
